The owners Frank & Carole were very welcoming and more than happy to help with bookings & provide advice on the surrounding area. The peace & tranquility, not to mention the fabulous pool and surroundings will definitely bring us back.

Excelente casa, tranquilas vacaciones. Excellent house, quiet holiday Langlade, Montboyer, 16620, France (70986) Date of Stay 02 July 2016
The house is accurate to the listing. The owners were very friendly and we were well looked after. I recommend to my relatives; We liked a lot the beautiful garden. Also liked the nearby villages as Aubeterre sur Drome and the weekly market of Chalais. We visited Angouleme ( beautiful) and Cognac.
Licy G. 14-Sep-2015 Beautiful Villa in the French countryside Langlade, Montboyer, 16620, France (70986) Date of Stay 05 September 2015 We stayed in Villa Anglade for 5 days at the beginning of September. It is in extremely picturesque location with amazing views. You are very well catered for with a very generous welcome pack and lovely owners. The villa itself is beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice, a very good size, with a BBQ and a pool. My friends and I had such an enjoyable holiday and would definitely recommend it. We are all in our early 20s and really enjoyed the break in the beautiful french countryside.
A perfect place for a relaxing holiday

Our 2 week stay here was wonderful! The house was perfect, lovely rooms, gorgeous garden and the pool was brilliant especially as our little 2 year old grandson was not able to get to the pool without help as it had a fence all the way round. Frank and Carol the owners were very friendly and provided us with an exceptional welcome pack as well as advice if we needed it about the area. Frank also kept the pool clean for use each day too. Our 2 weeks went far too quickly and we really did not want to go home!! We will definitely be returning in the future. You will not be disappointed if you choose this for your holiday. Myself my wife and our 2 boys stayed in langlade for a week in july 2014. I cannot praise the experiance enough ,The welcome from Frank and Carol was fantasic ,with a wealth of knowledge of things to do in the local area . The house and pool were to a amazing standard, all we had to do was arrive and enjoj and that we did very well. We would love to come back again and I think we will .
What a lovely trip! We stayed at Langlade for a week in September and absolutely loved the rural French experience! As a group of friends visiting we enjoyed much reading and sunbathing beside the pristine pool during the day and a glass of wine in the sun with our BBQ in the evening. It really was an amazing way to unwind and relax! The properties are well equipped, spacious and immaculately clean. And we were welcomed by a very generous package with much more than essentials to start us off before we hit the local intermarche.
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area with local markets, wonderful restaurants, live music at the local watering hole and many beautiful nearby villages such as Aubeterre-sur-Dronne where the monolithic church is worth a visit.
Frank and Carol were the perfect hosts, very friendly and happy to provide information about the area to ensure we had a truly memorable holiday. September was the perfect time of year for us to go, although the sunflowers had started to bow their heads the temperature was just below 30 degrees, ideal for our party who were more acclimatised to the dreich summer we were getting in Scotland! We're already talking about planning a return trip!
Frank and Carol offer the perfect home for a memorable family holiday... Our Children never left the pool...even when it rained! The kitchen is well stocked with all mod cons, Bedrooms are comfortable and large, the scenery is fabulous and the location offers many fantastic walks. Perfect for a quiet rest and bonding quality time for a family
We have had 3 wonderful holidays at Langlade, staying in both the houses at different times in June and September. The houses are perfect for a family holiday; home from home and offer every convenience including cots and high chairs, washing machines, dishwasher etc. The properties are very well maintained and are spotlessly clean. There are 2 swimming pools which are meticulously kept and well secured with gates, which suited our little toddler. Each property has a BBQ area outside which we was brilliant for dining on the patio areas, in the evenings while junior was in bed. Carol and Frank are very welcoming and will provide helpful guide and tips on getting around/ local tourism and restaurants. In particular, Frank will organise a table for you at local Chateau which is offers superb food at unbelievable good value (compared to Dublin!). Book in advance as Chateau is busy in high season. The rolling countryside is beautiful and ideal for walking and you can stop off at small villages for a farmhouse lunch - a taste of real French country living. Frank will lend you bicycles if you want to cycle around the area. Aubetere is a lovely village about 10 minutes drive away and has a number of good restaurants. There is a great atmosphere in the town square on Saturdays and Sundays when some of the restaurants set up table and chairs outside. On each holiday we spent a day in St Emilion which is only an hour away by car – and is not to be missed. Similarly, Cognac and Bordeaux are also close enough for the day trips. There is also a market on Fridays in Riberac (15 minutes drive) with a really good selection of local foods for picnics and BBQs. We highly recommend this location and properties for an unforgettable holiday and look forward ourselves to returning during 2008.
We have had several fantastic family holidays at Langlade staying in both the houses at different times. Both the houses are extremely well maintained and had everything you would need for a restful holiday. The property was very clean and the grounds were well looked, after having a swimming pool was an extra bonus. Frankand Carol are very good hosts and on hand to give any help they can to make your holiday enjoyable. We found plently to do in the surrounding area, visits to local markets Chalis or Riberac or further afield. Plenty of walks nearby especially after harvest, there are numerous restaurants one of our favourites was at the chateau and the pub down the road has lovely pizzas. The properties are close to supermarkets other shop with Angouleme is only 40 mins away and Bordeaux is about 80 min by car. The first time we stayed at Langlade the children were 14 and 11 years, last year they were with us and they were 24 and 21 and there was still plenty for them to do.
